Update!

Hi everyone!

I know an update is long overdue, so here it is:

Firstly, this weekend is Running Gagg at SUNY Geneseo. Come play games, and visit the Simcon table! We will have flyers and information all weekend, and staff tabling at certain times over the course of the weekend as well. (Unfortunately, due to illness, I will only be there personally during Saturday afternoon.)

The dates for SIMCON XXXIV: The Convention at the End of the Universe have been confirmed. The con will be from March 30th -- April 1st, 2012, and will be held at the University of Rochester River Campus. Registration will be in Goergen Atrium.

Free weekend parking
is available in the nearby Intercampus Drive Lot. For parking on Friday, daily parking passes can be purchased from the university. Visitors to River Campus can purchase one-day permits at the River Campus Information Booth for a fee of $5.00 (after 4:00pm the fee is reduced to $3.00.)

For our out of town guests, you can book a hotel room at the Henrietta Days Inn for a reduced rate when you call
1-866-599-6674 and mention University of Rochester Simcon. The hotel is ten minutes from campus, and has complimentary breakfast, high speed wireless internet, as well as a fitness center, and an on-site restaurant. The hotel location is 4853 W Henrietta Rd Henrietta, 14467.

Our special guests this year will be James Schmiedicker of Riot Games, Brandon Osorio of Dark Refuge Games, artist Drew Baker, and Justin Lewis of Steve Jackson Games.

Please bear with us as our website and registration system undergo construction. We hope to have this fixed as soon as possible.

If you are interested in adverting in the con booklet, dealing/vending at Simcon, being a special guest, or have any other comments, questions, or concerns, please email me at jkohl@u.rochester.edu, and I will try to respond to you promptly.

If you would like to get involved with Simcon, weekly meetings are held Monday nights at 9 PM, in Wilson Commons 121 (University of Rochester River Campus,) and are open to the public.
